The Elected Executive

There are 10 meetings of the Executive each year which receive reports from members of staff and which set the policy of the Forum.

There are also a lot of things for members to do between meetings. For, there are a variety of action groups on local issues as well as council and other committees to attend in order to get the ‘powers that be’ to support the local neighbourhood agenda.

The officers of the Executive have even more to do, supporting staff, checking the accounts and running local residents groups. So, for example, the chair of the Executive probably spends an average of 10 per hours a week on Forum business and is as busy, if not more busy, than most councillors.
